Girls outcasting my sister to the point where she does not want to go to school?

My mom and I have been discussing various options in dealing with my sister's situation. My sister's "friends" problem has been going on for over 2 months now and it seems to be getting worse each day. My sister was friends with a girl Kelsey**, kelsey was not a good influence and was mean to my sister Morgan**'s friends. So My sister Morgan, decided she did not want to be friends with a girl who was so mean. Morgan had many friends, but stuck up for one of her friends who Kelsey was bullying. for some reason, these girls gravitated towards kelsey and now everyone hates morgan and they are all friends with Kelsey. everyday my sister endures teasing, rumors, avoidance and other cruel things girls do to each other. Unfortunetly the guy to girl ratio is 15 boys to 1 girl. therefore there are not many girls in my sisters grade, so when this happend, she didnt have any other girls to turn to. we need advice before this takes a significant toll on my sister and her well being.

Girls outcasting my sister to the point where she does not want to go to school?
Three things: 1. Help her build her self esteem, maybe a makeover or something and let her find the confidence through that.

2. Perhaps she can find friends outside of school.

3. If it's that bad, switch her school.

Frankly she sounds like she's got a good head on her shoulders and recognizing those friends are unworthy of her friendship. She is exceptionally one of the good ones. And you can tell her I said so! Kudo's to you Morgan!
Reply:Can she change schools?

Butch girls?
i wear levi jeans, combat boots, and sleeveless shirts, on any given day ill be riding my bike. i have tattoos. i have a strong opinion, never do i want to be a man, manly thats me. but just cause i dress in what makes me comfortable dont mean i want to be a man. it just means im comfortable in my own skin and clothes that i like.

as far as my *********, most str8 men come to men to learn how to win a ladies heart. if you only judge by whats between the legs, instead of whats in there heart, you are so short changing yourself.

women like butches, cause we have a respectful, comforting side to us that "real men" dont have.
Reply:this is like asking why are some people goth or why are some people emo. well OK its a little different lol but its the same concept its just who they are i meen look at some gay guys some gay guys act feminine does that meen they don't... err...get other gay guys to date them not really
Reply:You know how people can be skater, punk, goth, prep, etc.? Well, butch is another style - one that just comes naturally. It's not about wanting to be male - if that were they case they'd be transgender/sexual. They feel more comfortable in male clothing and being 'edgier'. I'm a bisexual girl who's slightly androgynous and I'm attracted to butch females.

Mean Girls - Age 13 - What to do?

My niece is 13 yrs old. She is very pretty, bright but mostly she is a sweet, loving young lady. She is an only child. Since she has been in 8th grade, there are a couple of "mean" girls - girls that just don't like her for some unknown reason. I think they are jealous b/c that is usually what happens between girls. She doesn't get invited to parties that these girls are going to.

I think she is too nice and that's part of the problem. If she fought , I think they would back down. My sister-in-law wants her to be all nice-nice and act like it doesn't bother her that these girls are saying mean things. My niece is a "good girl" - she doesn't date and my brother %26amp; his wife made her cancel her myspace page b/c it was becoming an obsession with her.

Some of these mean girls are already having sex!!!

Is there any advice that I could give her to help with this situation? I hate to think of these girls being mean to such a sweet girl.

Mean Girls - Age 13 - What to do?
It's an awful thing, bullying between girls, and I think sometimes it can be much more malicious than with boys. Bullying in groups of girls is also usually quite subtle and much more difficult to detect and when it is brought to the attention of adults and teachers they often say there is nothing they can do about it even though there is no doubt that these girls are doing something wrong and harmful. The thing is sometimes they don't even realise they are bullying someone, they kid themselves and blame the victim instead. Unfortunately there's not much you can do about your niece not being invited to parties, forcing the other girls to do so would just make them resent her. I have no doubt that these girls are merely jealous of her, boy probably like her because she is nice, pretty and intelligent and boys probably prefer her much more than these "mean girls", if they are having sex at this age, it must be about being popular with boys. And of course to make them look good, they must make her look bad and therefore anyone who associates with her. Are these girls making your niece's life hell? If so, I would advise you to subtley alert a teacher. Yes she should ignore their bulliying but she should also, where appropriate, defend herself and not let them walk all over her. Her parents sound a little controlling not letting her have myspace, I know it's very wrong but at 13 years old, I think it best to conform slightly, and restricting her from having myspace etc will just make her seem more different from everyone else, singleing her out. It is unfortunate she is an only child because a sister or brother could support her more than anyone really. I suggest if this bullying is going to far, and making her very distressed, let someone know and do something about it. The only thing I can say to comfort you is that, 13 is usually the worst age and girls will usually grow out of it, mostly anyway, I'm now in sixth form and it's virtually nonexistent.
Reply:Before giving advice to her first grow her self confidence.I feel she is lacking in it.Give her good knowledge of sex and its after hindrance, about the society.Try to become a good friend of her.
Reply:Tell her to hold her head up and rise above those second rate girls. They are jealous. If she looks for them, she will find more girls like her and they won't be so mean. She will be happier to be around like kind. And she doesn't deserve the ill treatment. Tell her to make a big joke of those girls and to act like she thinks their menace is as funny as they think it is. It won't continue if they lose the fun they're having and by doing that and laughing at their attempts to be mean. Soon they will see that they have lost the edge and go away.
Reply:whoa I'm her age. To tell you the truth she has to stick up for her self. Next time they say something be like whoa thats not cool or why would you say that........shut up............wow ur not nice.

you got to say SOMETHING!!

seriously thats the only way I make it through school.

Tell her to stick up for her self.
Reply:one has to face the problems during the life, if one can face it he/she is successful.

Girls is there something I'm just not getting?

I'm 19 years old and I have never had a girl friend.

I'm by no means a pig! I have a clean face, wash every day, basically keep myself in very good health. I have shortish hair, its the usuall messy yet styled look most guys have. I keep stubble.

I keep myself in very good condition by playing many sports, this keeps my body relatively toned, I have slight curves. I dress smartly, no trackies or hoodies. Its Jeans, shirts etc. I keep things colour co-ordinated. Aporaching girls, I'm confident in myself and can make/start conversations easily. I get looks from girls and I smile back, let girls through doord first etc. I also have many strong 'friend' relationships with girls but have yet to actually date one! Girls tend to be shy around me, which makes it worse for me as I also have my shy side. I've seen/talked with many girls in many places but I get rejected or 'just friend'. Have I just been unlucky? My height an issue? I'm 5ft 6. What do you girls think?

Thanks in advance.

Girls is there something I'm just not getting?
You just need a bit more confidence in yourself. A good way to make a girl feel at ease with you is to make them laugh. There's an old expression that goes, "laughing them into bed,2 and believe me it works. Just keep trying your luck.
Reply:I would say that it sounds like you are trying too hard. Most people, women and men, tend to subconciously go for the people that seem to be not interested in them. And be funny! Humor is important with most women!
Reply:I think it might be fear; lurking in the background. The "what if...." or "will I won't I"

Actually coming out, and asking a girl on a date would be the first step.

I don't think it could be an issue; the height thing; no one I know thinks negatively about tall guys! In fact, quite the reverse! So, get a grip, and take the plunge; I think you'll "like the water" just fine!

Good luck Mr. "It's now or never"! lol
Reply:they all think you're gay, sweety.

do loads of macho stuff and hang around with lots of manly guys until they realise you arent, drinking lots of beer

have you heard the term metrosexual? that is a straight guy with all the qualities of a gay one. that's what you are.
Reply:mybe you should approach girls in away that makes them not think of you as a friend but as a boyfriend or someone to date, because if you always approach a girl like in the way you have, you will always be in the friends zone...
Reply:No, your height won't be an issue. For petite girls, that'll be a plus.

You sound nice - you just need to have the courage of your convictions and ask them out. Don't fall into the "friends" trap - that can be very difficult to get out of if, actually, you want something more.
Reply:Sounds to me like you are a pretty good catch and that girls may be intimidated of you because they may not think that they are worthy of you. It also could be a strong possibility that other girls think that your really good girl friends are more than friends. It's great that you are confident and you can talk to girls and treat them with respect. Try asking a girl on a date, I'm sure you'll get a positive response.
Reply:i'm shorter than 5'6 and never had a boy friend and i am 36.

but in all seriousness, i think there is nothing wrong with your height, i have never been put off by men of short stature
Reply:Oh my days , thats the first Ive heard I guy like you with every effect being knocked down like that,

maybe and listen carefully, are you really approaching the right kinda of girls

go for a girl like you , smart and everything who has simaliriites like yourself,

or just grab a girl for your sake and kiss her
Reply:don't worry about it... you'll find someone really soon... just be you.... that's all... there's nothing wrong with you....
Reply:It is not your height... maybe you should just be more confident...
Reply:truly hun I really don't think there is anything wrong with you, unless there is something you have not mentioned here that turns girls off. I'm only 5'3", but even if I were taller than you height wouldn't matter. I actually prefer guys that aren't waaaay taller than me :) I'm 17 and never had a boyfriend, so don't worry about that for your age either.

Hope you have a good weekend, email me if you like :)
Reply:well if you were made of chocolate you'd probably eat yourself
Reply:Maybe you should try talking to girls and make jokes. Be friends with girls and be yourself.
Reply:Be yourself! join a sport of somekind and mix more and if you like someone there are plenty of cafe's that a coffee and a chat does wonders then progress from there.
Reply:You think you've got problems. I am 4 years older than you and life was not exactly gentle to me I am only 4ft 3 inches and considered a dwarf, I am amusing and popular but my height has always made me feel a very insecure. People can be cruel and have always taken easy jibes at me especially females, girls seem to have a thing with dwarfs and in my personal experience they shamelessly chase me and use me for their sexual games, I am of normal to large size in my pants, but because of my overall height it looks much bigger, so they laugh and use me with their friends but never chose to see me as a boyfriend or introduce me to their families. Yes I get plenty of action but it is all secret, all behind closed doors. I feel very lonely and yet many guys think I have it all.
Reply:dude. confidence works, u cant put it on or buy it. takes time n experience. girls like a guy thats NOT on the pull and looks fun to be with.
Reply:Stop looking for a relationship and one will find you. You just need to relax and everything will fall into place, including a girl.

Just you wait and see.

Reply:Woah.. reading this question gave me an insta-headache.

everyone should just shut the f*ck up.

ok headache gone..

Have a nice day!
Reply:WTF?
Reply:depends. if u sit there and talk alot bout her and bore her, then it gets annoying. but if u just talk and let a girl know how u feel bout some other girl then its not wrong cause we all need to share things. and we girls talk bad bout u guys all the time, why cant u talk bout us? lol
Reply:to an extent but if you keep going on and on it gets old and totally turns me off

GIRLS OR LADIES only reply ! its serious ! i am a 19 yr old guy ,need advice?
I understand why you have this behavior. I don't think that dressing in women's things is WRONG. Doing so isn't hurting anyone but yourself. What I hear in your question and comments is a desperate and confused young man. You are very uncomfortable and ashamed with your secret life. It's time to change it NOW! There's no gaurantee that you will change after you are married, just like a person who drinks doesn't stop drinking when he/she becomes married - no matter how hard they try to hide or deny it before.

You realize that the problem isn't inherent. You acquired this by how you were treated like a girl when you were young. I'm wondering if you still spend time with your sisters. If so, I suggest that you distance yourself from them until you become stronger. It sounds like you deeply have the desire to become masculine - as most males do. Start by involving yourself in male-oriented activities (sports, hunting, fishing, etc). Surround yourself with men. Talk with them often. Observe and learn from them. Putting these things in your life and changing your surroundings will eventually overcome the desire to dress as a woman.

Change your environment at home. Get rid of all your female things. Do it in a ceremonial way, such as burning them or throwing them out and rewarding yourself with something new. This is an important event in your life - not to be taken casually. You are looking towards your future and putting your past behind you. Remember that day as the one that changed your life in positive ways!

When you think that you want to dress again, focus on your future and the man you want to be, not the boy you were. Keep that picture in your mind. Also, keep in mind that someday you will be able to see your wife in pretty, feminine clothing - something to look forward to! She'll look alot better in them than you and you can help her choose them! (Just make sure SHE's wearing them, not you. That would cause big problems.)

Put it in your past and noone needs to know about it. Be very, very proud of yourself of how hard you've worked to overcome a problem that someone else gave you!

Good luck to you!
Reply:Please don't think you are abnormal. You are perfectly normal. Some straight men like to dress in women's clothing. It doesn't mean there is anything wrong with you. I used to work in a hotel and every year we had the cross dresser's club called Sigma Mu. They were mostly straight and they even brought their wives with them. It was just something they liked to do. Just make sure if you are going to cross dress, you do a really good job of it. And find a girl who is willing to accept you for who you are. There's no need to change your personality for anyone. I am a 48 year old straight woman and i can tell you for sure, you're fine. Accept yourself and find the woman who will accept you just the way you are. I have an 18 year old son and i hope if he were in this situation, someone would reassure him. Also, please don't listen to other answers that assume ther is something wrong with this. There isn't a thing in the world wrong with it. Be who you are.
Reply:It won't be easy for you to stop right away, even when you get a girlfriend,so it's very important that you find ways to do it now, gradually on your own or with professional help because it will hurt you in the end,and possibly those you love. Because you know the root and source if where this habit started and came from, you are at a much higher level to find success in over-coming this issue.Try to stop a little each day,and feel more confident as a man as much as possible. Do more guy things, and even see if your sisters could allow for the guy things you might like to do and invite your male friends to go over and have all guy events that are fun that you love and enjoy!
Reply:I'm sorry to hear this.

So, I'm sorry to hear that you feel bad about this.

To be sincere I think you should just STOP it!

You should try to be more determined! If you decide to STOP it, you should stuck on this and should try to give an end to this.

When you feel like you want to dress up like a girl, try to get busy with smth else. call a friend and go out with him/her, go and have a walk etc until this kind of desire goes away. Anytime you feel this try to do smth else. It is better if you stop it now, because later on it may get worse!

Good luck!

I'm sure you CAN DO IT!
Reply:well its like this you are one of them boys that feel com. on girls clothes and you just need to find a girl that can understand your problem well its not a problem its just sum you like but you can email me at lilprincesmiz@yahoo.com
Reply:is this a cultural thing, or are you just confused, chill, out, calm down, and wear the pants in your marriage
Reply:Dude, am a guy and let me tell you something BURN your girl clothes, and join a sport to take use your free time up, that will keep you from thinking about it, and try and get a girl man another thing to keep your mind busy.
Reply:WOW...I don't even know what to say about this one...honestly, if I found out my man liked to do that, I think I would have to leave him! And, who is to say that once you get married, you will be able to stop doing it!!! I think you need to talk to a boy/man that has done this kind of thing before or still does do it, to get better advice!!!

Girls like funny guys?

Well I'm not really a funny guy around girls but I'm funny to my family, relatives, and friends... Is it because I hesitate to be funny in front of girls because I don't wanna look stupid? I mean I see guys who tease girls by calling them idiot, retard, and etc and the girls aren't offended but laugh from it. I mean insults like retard isn't that funny. =\ I always fear to offend girls by making those mean jokes thats why I don't do it. So how to make girls laugh? I really gotta work on it. I mean I can make my girl cousins laugh like non stop but I can't mkae other girls laugh. =\ Please help. Thanks.

Girls like funny guys?
As like others answer your question, Just be your self boy! you know why you can make your girl cousins laugh is because you are comfortable being with them non stop talking about anything that simply make them laugh. Be comfortable and don't think about what might they say about your jokes cause it's your joke. It's not their joke, it's yours. I sometimes hard to make my friends laugh but we all have choices to choose right? Either you make funny jokes or you, yourself laugh of the joke. Tell them what you feel. I'm sure they understand it right? If they don't understand, I don't know what are they.
Reply:i totally agree with aisthetos, being yourself is the best option. and for the most part i havent met a whole lot of girls that really appreciate being the butt of a mean joke, gentle teasing maybe, but i wouldnt lead with that. get to know them a little first and youll start to get a feel for how far you can push...but be very careful, these games can be dangerous.
Reply:Three simple words for you. Just be yourself.
Reply:just be ur self!!! my guy friend makes me laugh all the time by making stupid gross jokes but thats just becuz i laugh really easely.
