Why are "girls" now called "women"?

Its now derogatory or sexist to call a girl, "girl" now. You have to call them "women". You know how people used to say girls and guys.... that is not allowed now. Unless ur a woman. Women are the only people allowed to call each other "girls". Girlfriend, girl power, girls nite out, girl this girl that.... But if a guy wanted to call a girl "girl" , u have to be very careful and check to make sure the "girl" in question is below 16 years old. Otherwise ur a..."bad" guy.

Why are "girls" now called "women"?
Because we always say guys and girls, or ladies and men. There is an implicit connotation that the term girls (a younger, ineffective, less mature female and ladies ( with connotations of useless gentility) denote a sexist view of women whereas the terms "guys", "men" have more implied power. Therefore if you are a girl 6, 7 ,8 10, 11 then fine. If you are a women, then say it and be proud to be so.
Reply:maybe coz of all the sexual predators who like underage "girls". I actually never heard this before that it's UN-PC but man lots are changing.

I say to hell to PCish(Politcally Correct) nuances and just say what is natural.
Reply:that is yet another crazy feminist invention.

In eastern european culture, the difference between girl and woman is that girl is a virgin and woman is not. and no woman in right mind would get offended if you call her "girl".
